Terbium fluoride is a kind of white powder. Its density is 7.2g/ml, melting point is 1172℃ and the boiling point is 2280℃. It’s insoluble in water, hydrochloric acid,nitric acid and sulfuric acid, soluble in perchloric acid.
It’s mainly used to manufacture terbium and magnetostriction materials.
