Gadolinium fluoride is a kind of white powder. Its density is 7.1g/ml, melting point is 1231℃ and the boiling point is 2277℃. It’s insoluble in water, hydrochloric acid,nitric acid and sulfuric acid, soluble in perchloric acid.
It’s mainly used on optical materials, optical glass materials and arc carbon. It’s also used to make gadolinium.
